Milano-Sanremo: the team

Petacchi and Cunego will be in Lampre-ISD that will take part in Milano-Sanremo.
The technical staff of the blue-fuchsia team selected the following riders for the race that will start in Milan on 17th March: Grega Bole, Matteo Bono, Davide Cimolai, Damiano Cunego, Danilo Hondo, Alessandro Petacchi, Diego Ulissi, Davide Viganò. Sport director: Maurizio Piovani.

AleJet, after the withdrawal from Tirreno-Adriatico in the 5th stage, performed two demanding trainings that allow him to have a positive attitude towards his participation in Milano-Sanremo.
For what concerns Cunego, his increasing fit and his will to test himself in a charming appointment such Classicissima are the reasons of his presence in the team.
Ulissi will be free to join the action that he’ll evaluate as interesting, while Bono will be asked to give his usual rich contribution.
The fast wheels, in addition to Petacchi, will be Cimolai, Hondo, Viganò and Bole, with the Slovenian that could be a good alternative for the sprint.

“The team could be competitive and ready for all the different race solutions – general manager Saronni explained – We’re all happy that Petacchi is working in an intense way after the troubles occurred during Tirreno-Adriatico: during the race, he’ll need to use his experience more than in the past, but his presence will be important for all the team. Also Cunego participation will be important, he’ll really have the chance to perform a good race”.
